Ahmad Tijjani Galadima has won the All Progressives Congress governorship primary in Adamawa State by a wide margin.
Galadima, former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Trust Development Fund, secured 414,444 votes to clinch the party’s ticket, according to the election committee chairman, Prof. Innocent Bariko.
Abdulrazak Namdas came second with 86,004 votes, while Abdurrahman Bashir Haske, the youngest aspirant, finished third with 65,424 votes.
Bariko announced the results on Friday in Yola after the conclusion of the primary.
He said Galadima led the contest by a clear margin over other contenders.The victory positions Galadima as APC’s candidate for the Adamawa governorship election.
