Plateau State Governor Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has assured residents that relative peace has been restored across Plateau State and vowed that no individual or group will be allowed to destabilize the region.
Speaking after an emergency State Security Council meeting at the Rayfield Government House, Jos, Plateau State, the governor commended security agencies for preventing further loss of lives and property, promising continued support for their efforts.
He warned residents against taking law into their own hands, stating:
“Anybody henceforth that block the highway without authorization will not be accepted by government”
Plateau State Commissioner of Police Bassey Ewah, confirmed that authorities are actually tracking those responsible, assuring:
“We are on the track of those miscreants, we will get them”
The meeting was attended by top security officials, and the Plateau State National Assembly Caucus who visited the governor to offer condolences.
Residents are urged to stay calm and adhere to security guidelines.
