In a town hall meeting held in Abuja on Saturday, 28th January 2023, the youths of South-South Nigeria came together to decide that they will change the narratives by adopting the ballot-over-bullet approach in the upcoming 2023 elections.
Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike was expected to speak at the Town Hall meeting, but a source said that the Governor feared a possible defiant response from the South-South youths and absconded the meeting.
While speaking to 9News Nigeria Abuja correspondent, Nsidibe Udoette respective leaders of the South-South youths unequivocally voiced out that the narratives whereby the South-South youths have been known with violence that include kidnapping and shooting during elections will be changed and the youths will rather use their PVCs other than bullets during the 2023 elections.
