It was Winston Churchill who said “The price of greatness is responsibility”. For Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq ,the Executive Governor of Kwara State, his waxing prominence in the national political firmamentgets the faint-hearted trembling.
This is not achieved through any magic than the responsibility of deligence in national service.
Never in the history of Kwara State has a Governor been seen this noticeably active in the national limelight like this.
Against all odds, he emerged Governor of the most centralized State of the Federation in 2019.
The Vibrant, youthful and useful Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq defeated several political giants with incomparable margin to Hon. Atunwa of PDP with his godfather Bukola Saraki, with Slogan “Otoge”, meaning “Enough”, it is indeed a feet yet to be recorded in the Fourth Republic.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is a successful international business man surmounted all the legal hurdles that came his way and eventually presided over the affairs of the State as its helmsman .
His popularity has known no limit.
One outstanding achievement with in one year in office is the unity of purpose and Federal character entrenched in the totality of appointments, developmental projects and civic service , the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led administration has banished tribal bigotry , ostracized communal crisis, his uncommon style of governance has established order and regards to duties in the public service and political offices
A closer observation of the man Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq , reveals an altruistic fellow with contagious audacity to confront most insurmountable challenges .
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s sincerity of purpose and noticeable penchant for providing leadership has thrown him up and exposed his political capacity to National capacity to National reckoning, making him the Governor of Kwara State to be so noticed, engaged and participate in National concerns than any previous Governor in the State.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq politics of competitive inter party ,political marketing is one that caused the Tsunami in the State house of Assembly, the indisputable began the political obituary of People Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.
As of today, it is indisputable fact, that Kwara State is now solidly under APC.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has not only dwarfed the records of his predecessors but has shown that his choice by the good people of Kwara to preside over the affairs was a decision guided by divinity.
Under the Leadership of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq he has committed to the development of the State in terms of infrastructure development, and he has made unmatched investment in the security infrastructure and architecture of the State.
To those who are still doubt, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is an emerging and unstoppable political force.
He has never developed cold feet in bringing to the National stage his experiential sagacity all in a bid to leave a society generations after him will be proud of.
As an upwardly mobile young blood ,he is ever ready to serve the land that has given him so much in any capacity.
As I bring this piece to a close, suffice to say that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is a rallying point for a justified sense of dignity and pride for any indigene of Kwara State.
The litany of people -oriented programs he has initiated in the State ranging from drastic reduction of over bloated civil service , peopled by ghost workers, rural and urban renewal , health system development , women inclusion and others stand him out.
