HOW IPOB LEADER NNAMDI KANU WS ARRESTED TO FACE COURT CHARGES IN NIGERIA

Now that the IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has finally been arrested by the Interpol and brought back to his home country NIGERIA for trial, Nigerians still wonder how that was made possible as many say the IPOB leader has been in Nigeria for days if not weeks before the news of his arrest was broken by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

This information was revealed to newsmen by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami, SAN, who made the disclosure on Tuesday.

Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, who made the disclosure to journalists on Tuesday said the arrest followed a collaborative effort between security agencies in Nigeria and the Interpol.

Meanwhile, 9News Nigeria reports that the Federal Government has arrest of the leader of the proscribed Indegeniuos People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu is Confirmed.

The information however revealed that Kanu was arrested and brought back to Nigeria on Sunday.

Malami further disclosed that Kanu would be taken before the Federal High Court in Abuja for continuation of his trial on charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms and management of an unlawful society.

In a related Development, former South African PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma is serving a prison term as a court of jurisdiction in the country has sentenced him to prison.

However Nigeria’s news agency reports that the IPOB leader appeared before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Kanu, who was brought to the court amidst tight security, arrived at the court at about 1:40 pm.
