British Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has announced that she no longer believes in the existence of God.
In a now-viral interview with The Free Press, Badenoch described herself as agnostic and cultural Christian, explaining that her once-strong religion beliefs have change overtime.
When asked If she believes in God, she responded, “Not anymore. But I am not an atheist, I am agnostic. I used to believe very much but now I describe myself as cultural Christian”.
Responding to question about whether the world benefits from belief in God or living as If God exists, Badenoch argued that actions are more significantly than beliefs.
According to her, the most important factor is what individuals do with their belief or lack belief.
She stated, “I don’t think it matters so much. What matters is what they do with the belief or lack of belief”.
Recently, Vice President Kashim Shettima criticized Badenoch for her remarks about Nigeria in her recent interview with British media.
Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke Badenoch, has been a Member of the Parliament (MP) for North West Essex, United Kingdom (UK) since 2017, and also served as the Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Conservative Party since November 2024.
