In their bid to ensure total victory for the Uzodinma/Ekomaru ticket come eleventh October, 2023, the entire people of Owerri West LGA have decided to vote for APC en masse.
The decision was taken by the youths, sons and daughters of the LGA at St Peters Anglican church field Irete at a mega rally that climaxed the various ward rallies recently.
The grand finale rally, which was among many rallies sponsored Sir Noble Abiaso Atulegwu, drew very important political dignitaries, across party lines from the three blocs of Owerri West comprising Umunwaoha, Ara and Ochie.
Some of the speakers on the occasion included Prof Eugene Opara, Hon GAS Amadi, Sir Fidel Onyeneke, Hon Lister Okpe, Chief BC Nzimako, Barr CJ Ihemedu, Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi amongst others.
Each speaker extolled the achievements of Governor Uzodinma and his special love for Politicians in Owerri West having unprecedentedly given their sons and daughters political appointments.
Speaking later, the Commissioner for Lands, Sir Noble Atulegwu described the forthcoming election as a pay back time for Governor Hope.
He declared that every well meaning Owerri West person should see the return ticket of Governor Hope as a project.
In his words, “Hope four plus four is our project” and we must all deliver our booths if for nothing else the deputy Governor designate, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru is our own daughter”.
He then enjoined party stalwarts to go home and commence wards/booth and kindred sensitization.
Meanwhile, in Orogwe/Irete ward ten, the Ward Chairman Hon Chukwuma Ononiwu, who is from Orogwe has kick started the kindred sensitization during which all stalwarts in every kindred were expected to come out and.address the attendees.
Addressing the audience at Umunjanwoke kindred rally, the SA to the Governor on Development Areas, Barr CJ Ihemedu reminded the audience that Lady Chinyere Ekomaru is their own blood and daughter and as such there was need to reciprocate Governor Uzodinma’s gesture by giving APC a hundred percent support vote come eleventh November.
