OWERRI (9NEWS NIGERIA) – The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) drums support for His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma and his Shared Prosperity Government.
The IPAC delegation comprising of their Deputy Chairman, Hon Ferdinand Uzoigwe, Secretary, Hon Edoziem Clinton, other Chairmen and the leaders of over 20 political parties, were at the governor’s office on a solidarity visit.
IPAC had earlier commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his good efforts in the Administration of the State, leadership style and the infrastructural revolution evident in the state especially the quality of the completed roads and the ongoing reconstructions.
In his address, Governor Uzodimma commended them for their support and trust in his administration.
He said “I welcome their commendation of the good efforts of our administration in the State, the leadership style we have employed and the infrastructural revolution evident in the state, especially the quality of completed roads and the ongoing constructions”
While thanking the IPAC delegates for their support his administration, Governor Uzodinma promised to continue to run an inclusive government where everyone would have a stake in governance.
Governor Uzodimma also stated that “there is no how the institution of Democracy can be strong if we don’t allow institutions like IPAC to exist strongly as it will allow for inclusive participation in Government”.
Governor Uzodimma therefore charged the Chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Council, Chief Marcus Nlemigbo who is also the State Chairman of the APC, with the responsibility of integrating other party members into the Government.
He Further said that he welcomed the idea of the convocation of an Imo Political Summit and urged IPAC to work with relevant government agencies so as to empanel a solid committee for the exercise.
Governor Uzodinma also gave reassurance that his government will take steps to continue to meet the expectations of well-meaning Imo people. He added that his government is more than determined to serve the people honestly and diligently.
