Imo rubber plantation Host community, Emeabiam Owerri west Imo state decry the level of under development in their area haven given the state such a versed landmass where a treasure deposit of Rubber is located.

Speaking to 9News Nigeria correspondent in Owerri, youth leaders and stakeholders regretted delapidations of facilities in the estate and lack of government presence in the host community.

However, information revealed to pressmen has it that since the inception of Hope Uzodinma’s government, no single facility was brought to improve the plantation which serves a major source of revenue to Imo state.

Roads leading to the host community Emeabiam has remained unmotorable while the youths are not engaged in the plantation as workers.

Meanwhile, Her Excellency Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the wife of Edo state governor and Eziada Igoloabiam Emeabiam has requested the need for Imo state government to upgrade the plantation and employ their youths to the development the state. She added that it is the right of the host community to benefit from the plantation and pleaded with governor Uzodinma for his speedy intervention to save the situation.

Recall that by the inception of this administration, Governor Uzodinma promised to develop, reconstruct, rehabilitate and recover the state as captured in his 3R policy mantra and Emeabiam rubber plantation in Owerri west need emergency on the spot assessment and development to maintain the peaceful relationship between the community and state government.
