In Ogitech: Gordon Wins Nastes Election

“ Freedom comes after struggle”, as Comrade Aremu Isaac Pka Gordon emerge winner at the National Association of Science Laboratory and Technology Students NASTES election.

The population of voters especially students was few at the polling unit, most students had gone home after the just concluded examination.

A sum total of voters who have come to vote for their various representatives were approximately 219 in numbers.

“ To avoid stories that touches the heart” Security men were seen at all corners of the earth to prevent violence and ensure a free fair election.

The voting criteria was enlisted. They include; NASTES receipt & school I. D card. This piles up to the main reason the population of voters was low because student are yet to pay & obtain their NASTES fee.

After the voting exercise, voters, aspirants were in anticipation to hear the result.

“ By the power vested on me, I hereby announced to you all the NASTES 2019/2020 election result” said by SUECO Chairman, Mr Oluwatofunmi. The results are as follows:

• President – Aremu Isaac Gordon 121 votes

Opponent – Aminat 97 votes.

• Vice president – Dàdá Mohammed Thaoban 98 votes.

• Treasurer – Oladokun Felicia 137 votes.

• Sport director – Oshoko Fisayomi 126 votes.

• Speaker – unopposed.

• Deputy Speaker – unopposed.

• Social director – Elegbede Yusuf Bamidele 119 votes.

• Public relations executive – Alabi Damilola Racheal 149 votes.

• Welfare 2 – Akindele Racheal 128 votes.

• Gen secretary – unopposed.

• Assistant general secretary – Adegbite Ajoke Raimot 110 votes.

• Financial secretary – Adeyemi Itunu 128 votes.

Students displayed an act of ‘Jubilation’ over the success-laden results.
