No team in Europe’s big five leagues have found the net more times in all competitions this term than the Ligue 1 leaders
Monaco have overtaken Barcelona as the top scorers from Europe’s top five leagues this season after their three goals against Manchester City on Tuesday at the Etihad.
Strikes by Radamel Falcao (2) and Kylian Mbappe in the Champions League last 16 tie took the Ligue 1 team to 111 for the season in all competitions, ahead of the free-scoring Catalans on 109.
The French team did, however, need two more games to reach the figure, having played 42 times to Barca’s 40.
Real Madrid, with 106 in 37 games, complete the podium, with Paris Saint-Germain (91 in 39) and Arsenal (88 in 38) following some distance behind.
