Monarch Denies Report Asking For The Removal Of Imo Lands Commissioner, Reassures Uzodinma’s Second Term Bid

IMO- His Royal Highness Eze Morrison Soronnadi Eke-PhD, the Omadike of Umuoma Nekede Autonomous Community has denied the newspaper report asking for the removal and sack of the commissioner for lands, Survey and Physical Planning, Hon Noble Abiaso Atulegwu from office.

The conversation came Thursday from a conversation heard with Eze Morrison and some media houses at the palace of the monarch in Umuoma Nekede in Owerri West local government area of Imo state Nigeria.

The Traditional Ruler noted with dismay at series of newspaper publications credited to his community, Umuoma Nekede on the sack of a serving commissioner.

The commissioner involved in this media fall out hails from same Owerri West where someone cliamed to represent the people of Umuoma Nekede to perpetuate his ordeal.

“It is a thing of regret that in the past two months, Umuoma community has been in the News on day in day out. The bad news has continued to resonate with a very high media fallout.

“The issue largely has to do with our ancestral lands inheritance and I will not hesitate to tell the public that much of the news is distorted, biased and defamatory.

The Monarch maintained that such news lacks accuracy, exactness and good judgement. He added that whenever he is giving any information about his community as a traditional ruler who has stay for twenty one years on the throne, he assured of authentic facts aimed at making the press listen to the truth.

He made it abundantly clear that Umuoma Nekede autonomous community did not at anytime conceive or asked the distinguished Senator, the executive governor f Imo state to sack his honourable Commissioner for Lands.

The Monarch frowned heavily at the misfortunes of a respected Son of Owerri West being insulted on major newspapers in Imo state Nigeria.

Omadike added that such unverifiable stories are manufactured from a negated negative, fictitious and tasteless people suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder”

While calling on government to settle the differences between the two ministries of government, Land ministry and Housing, he thanked the governor of Imo state for his cordial relationship with Umuoma Nekede and Owerri West at large.

Omadike pleaded for the speedy completion of Nekede Ihiagwa road and the link road from Nekede old road down to Oil Mill to Umuoma Nekede police post area. He, on behalf of Umuoma Nekede and that Owerri West reassured Governor Hope Uzodinma’s second term bid.

Eze Omadike appreciated deeply the government efforts on the deforestation of the forest which was the then hideout of the criminals and kidnappers from within and outside Imo state and beckon on Governor Uzodinma through this medium to please continue to finish his good work already started in Umuoma Nekede land. The Monarch maintained that Umuoma Nekede is peaceful and law abiding.

The meeting featured alot of notable personalities from Umuoma Nekede and Owerri West who witnessed the conversation which included the First Owerri West local government chairman, Barr Bethel Nzimako, Chairman Fiscal Policy Abuja, Chief Barr Victor Muruako, Special Adviser to the governor on Imo Orientation, Dr Fidel Onyeneke, Former principal secretary to Fmr Deputy Governor Eze madumere, Nze Sir Aharanwa, Mr Chukwuma Onuniwu, Chief Blessing Nnorum, Umuoma Royal Cabinet, Chairmen of the Five towns of Umuoma Aut. Community, Palace Secretary, Community Public Relation Manager and the gentlemen of the Press.
