Recognizing the untapped potential of young women as catalysts for change, a groundbreaking Young Women’s Leadership Conference was held at the esteemed NAF Conference Center in Abuja. Convened by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship and Leadership, Rinsola Abiola, the event marked a significant milestone in the journey towards gender equality and women’s empowerment in Nigeria.


On this electrifying day of inspiration and empowerment, stakeholders from across Nigeria gathered to address a longstanding challenge: the gender gap in leadership.


The conference was characterized by an atmosphere filled with inspiration and empowerment. Attendees were treated to a day filled with insightful discussions, thought-provoking speeches, and opportunities aimed at fostering the leadership potential of young women.

According to the convener, Rinsola Abiola, the current administration of Bola Tinubu has demonstrated commendable generosity towards women in terms of appointments into leadership positions. At this session, participation in politics was critical for young women to vie for appointments into political offices.

Arrays of dignitaries present at the event included, Minister and permanent secretary of the Ministry of Youths where the office of the Senior Special assistant to the president on citizenship and leadership is domicile. Both spoke passionately about the importance of women development and Inclusivity in leadership and governance.
