Former Director-General of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign, Doyin Okupe, has said that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, never believed in the ideologies of the party.
Okupe, who spoke on Arise TV on Tuesday said Labour Party was just a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the presidential election for Obi.
Okupe, who resigned from the party in January on the grounds of ideological differences, said his membership in the party ended the moment Obi lost the election.
“Peter Obi is not a Labour person. He’s not a leftist, he is not trader, he is a business man, just like me, I am a liberal democrat, I believe in liberal democrat, I believe in free enterprise”, Okupe said.
