Nigeria Police Declare Nnaemeka Darlington Emekwe Wanted

IMO state police command has declared one Nnaemeka Darlington Emekwe wanted.

The suspect who was the acting president and the immediate past Secretary general of owerri youth movement was declared wanted following the death of Mr chukwuka Iwunze an operative of the Imo security network.

Mr Abdulahid Ali also ordered the traditional ruler of obodo Ujichi community in Ahiazu Mbaise local government area of the state, Eze Desmond Diala to produce the fleeing suspect who is an indigene of the community.

In a statement released to newsmen in owerri the police boss abdulhamid Ali explained that the incident occurred on Thursday January 15th 2015 at owerri city school located at wetheral road, where the suspect was mobilising his members to protest the arrest of some high ranking members of his movement who were arrested by the imo security network last week.

It would be recalled that Owerri youth movement, a social political movement founded in May 2014 unarguably promoted the activities of the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Imo in state, it also claims a non violent movement that promotes justice and equality.

Mr Ali further reviewed that an argument ensued between the group leader and Mr Chukwuka Iwunze, one of the operatives of the Imo security network who came to disperse the gathering, but the argument turned into exchange of blows between the two parties which led to the collapse and untimely death of Mr chukwuka Iwunze.

He further hinted that no stone will be left unturned until the suspect is apprehended to face the full wrath of the law, as some members of the movement have been arrested.

Investigative reports also revealed that the two parties have been at loggerhead following a report the movement presented to the state police command on the activities of the imo security network bothering on intimidation, blackmail, unlawful arrests and other illegal activities they alleged which the state police command corroborated that led to the removal of Mr Emma nwannam the leader of the security network and a subsequent ban on arm bearing of the organization in September 2014.
