The controversy bedevilling the security condition of our dear country was let loose by an online video report that was credited to the government by a Fulani herder who alleged that the government equip them with Ak47 and similar weapon to cause trouble. This video statement has been refuted by the Senate president, Rt Hon. Lawman on a meeting he had with the Drug Law Boss Burba Murwa.

Senator Lawman who made this known in a brief meeting with the chairman of the National Drug Law enforcement agency, Burba Murwa said it is he drug barons who equip bandits with suffisticated weapons.

He futher stated that Bandits know how to escape from custom officers through illegal routes in the country and according to him ” the same routes are used to import weapons for the Bandits, bokoharam terrorists and criminals in the country”

He even exposed that the proceed or money made from the sales of hard drugs, especially Heroine, Cocaine, Cannabis, Marijuana and it’s like are enough to purchase weapons for criminals in the society.

On this therefore, Senate PRESIDENT Lawman insisted that it is drug Barons that are responsible for the supply of Guns, weapons and dangerous materials to the bandits’ groups and as well provide fund which they use to carry out nefarious operations.

But some notable Nigerians did not agree with this reaction but condemned to it’s entirety this statement of the senate PRESIDENT on the grounds that it is the big and wealthy politicians and criminals that indulge and support such sharp deals to ruin the masses, cause unwarranted economic meltdown and stagnated the entire system.

Recall that NIGERIANS are demanding to know the sponsors of these suffisticated weapons and the sponsors of crime in the country. This crime has continued to rise from day to day on armed robbery, assassination, abduction, herders clash, banditry, cultism, drug abuse and etc.
