The Senate has confirmed former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, as the new Defence Minister after a five-hour screening session.
Speaking after his screening, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd) pledged to investigate recent security lapses, including the reported troop withdrawal before the Kebbi School abduction.
“We are going to investigate fully and ensure the Armed Forces operate effectively, working closely with all security agencies.”, he said, promising stronger coordination to confront growing national security challenges.
