Following the recent ward congress held in Imo state Nigeria by the highest opposition Political party, Peoples Democratic Party PDP has called its members to ignore the trending rumors on social media against the National secretariat.

It was a breaking News that Ward Congress was becloded by Heavy war that broke out in Imo PDP Secretariat, Owerri where National Secretary was Alleged to have hijacked and diverted result sheets for congress-.

The rumour also has it that the Panel members from Abuja were held hostage by irate PDP party youths in Owerri. The party has therefore released the counter as thus:

Senator Sam Daddy Anyanwu, the PDP scribe

Re: Ward Congress – Heavy war breaks out in Imo PDP Secretariat, Owerri, As National Secretary hijacks, diverts result sheets for congress

The above story is trending in various social media handles with the name of the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu prominently featured.

The purveyors of this falsehood had dragged the PDP National Scribe in their frustration to give credence to the diatribe.

The truth of the matter is that Senator Anyanwu as National Secretary of PDP cannot and could not have reduced himself to the level of hijacking a local Ad-Hoc Delegate Congress when the party clearly set up Committee for that purpose.

This claim is entirely false and replete with gross untruths aimed at misleading the public against the unbiased efforts of a committee members delegated to conduct the exercise.

The public is most sincerely urged to disregard this story, as it remains an orchestrated ploy to blackmail a hardworking PDP National Scribe.
