A former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, on Thursday, visited the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
9news Nigeria understands that during the visit, George commended the resilience and effective leadership of the National Chairman, Kabiru Turaki (SAN).
He acknowledged the challenges the party is going through and expressed confidence that the PDP will emerge victorious.

“Today, elder statesman and PDP strongman Chief Olabode George visited the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party.
“He commended the resilience and effective leadership of the National Chairman, Kabiru Turaki, SAN, throughout the many battles the party has fought,” a statement by the PDP read.
Responding, Turaki thanked the elder statesman for visiting the NWC and offering his wise counsel, which he described as ‘illuminating and encouraging.

Meanwhile, the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has said he has no plan to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the platform that brought him into office.
9news Nigeria reports that he made this known on Thursday in Ibadan during the Omituntun Ramadan Lecture.
While speaking before party members and supporters, the governor said he remains committed to the PDP and will continue to stand with the party.
He made it clear that he is not considering any move away from it.
Makinde stated that his loyalty remains with the party and its ideals.
