Plateau: The Death Toll In Tuesday’s Attack In Mangu LGA Has Risen To 85

The death toll in Fungzai and Kubwat villages of Kombun district, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau has risen to 85.

National President of Mwaghavul Development Association, Joseph Gwankat, made this known to newsmen on Wednesday after a security meeting at the palace of the traditional ruler in Mangu.

Gwankat, noted that several communities were attacked simultaneously, leading to killings as well as burning of houses and destruction of farmlands in the affected communities.

Meanwhile, 57 victims of the attacks in some of the communities that came under attack were given mass burial amidst tears by relatives and members of the community who gathered to witness the funeral service on Wednesday.
