Police arrests 5 robbery suspects, recover stolen items, firearms in Nasarawa

Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command have arrested four (4) suspects over alleged involvement in armed robbery in the State.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Nansel Ramhan, confirmed the arrest in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday.

The suspects, Abubakar Nasiru, Yusuf Abdullahi, Bashiru Sani and Ibrahim Adamu were arrested by Police Operatives of the New Karu Division in Nasarawa State.

Items recovered from the suspects as exhibits include: Two laptops, Eight mobile phones of different brands, One Power Bank, an MP3 Player, 3 ATM cards, One dane gun, A flat screen television set, Three flash drives, One cutlass and a catapult.

Nansel also confirmed the arrest of one Danjuma Mujumba, a notorious motorcycle snatcher and recovered a stolen Motorcycle by operatives of the Karshi Division.

The Police Spokesman said the suspect attacked an unspecting commercial motorcyclists and snatched his Bajaj Motorcycle before nemesis caught up with him.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia, for exhaustive investigation”, the statement added.
