Reconciliation Tour: APC Owerri West Consolidates At A Zonal Stakeholders Meeting Held In Umuguma

Over the weekend, All Progressives Congress party Owerri West consolidated their strength at a zonal stakeholders meeting held in Umuguma Imo State.

In the meeting, the Owerri West All Progressives Congress APC leaders came together as a united front to resolve their differences after the primary election ended in Imo state Nigeria few months ago.

This get-together of party stakeholders was held at the country home of one of the formost politician and an elder statesman Hon. Sir Levi Oguike in Umuguma Owerri West.

9News Nigeria reports that the Owerri zonal leadership of All Progressives Congress visited party leaders, ward chairmen and critical stakeholders in the area to hand over the baton of reconciliation, steadfastness, grassroots mobilisation and charged them showcase APC at all the booths and wards in the local government area.

Chief Justus Ogu, JP Owerri zonal chairman of All Pogressives Congress pleaded with Owerri West APC to reconcile their differences and resolve to promote the ideals of the party.

While Speaking on the challenges that awaits the party in the upcoming Elections he requested for total forgiveness of Whosoever or group of persons that the party leadership may have offended in one way or the other and adviced for oneness and brotherly love for APC to win the 2023 elections.

He reminded APC Leaders that primary election has come and gone and the next inline is to come together as a united entity to face the campaign squarely and preach to the people to vote APC in all Elections.

The Zonal Boss told the party that CDB Williams is for the Federal House of representatives, Prince Alex Mbata PAM is the Senatorial candidate and Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi is the Owerri West House of Assembly and therefore the party must vote them to win.

He added that the era of election rigging has gone while charging every leaders to do everything to win the booths for APC. “Ballot papers cannot be smuggled and Election boxes cannot be hijacked for useful purposes since the electronic counting is effective. As you vote, the server counts automatically and the winners will be identified from the booths, Chief Ogu hinted.

The meeting also featured the official declaration of HON SIR LEVI OGUIKE from PDP to APC where the APC party Chairman Owerri West, Hon. Humphrey Onwunakwe together with party leaders presented to him a party broom as a symbol of recognition and acceptance into the APC family.

In response, Barr Gas Amadi assured the zonal Chairman of the readiness of Owerri West APC to utilize their voting strength to subdue other political parties in the area and to apply every technicality to win.

High Chief Oyiga, stated without mincing words that owerri west has all it takes to defeat other Political rivals and charged every party leader to go and work more at the grassroots.

Dr Fidel Onyeneke, a media consultant in the area posited that party reconciliation have commenced before the visit of the zonal team. He added that APC Owerri West has appionted him as the Chairman of the Reconciliation committee to settle Individual differences in the party and promise to discharge his duties effectively coupled with the zonal directives to reconcile.

Chief Executive of Zanders Radio and Television who doubles as National President of NEKEDE FEDERATED UNION NFU, High Chief Kennedy Zanders and SA to governor Hope Uzodinma on party Empowerment, Hon Treasure was of the plea to the state government through the party leadership to help Nekede people as it concerns the sorry situation of their roads from the Shanghai Farms through the only surviving Zoo in Imo state Nigeria to the Mmiri Nkwoahia bridge across Umuoma down to Police Post/ Holy Sisters and Umudibia area to as a matter of urgency and party grassrooting make these roads motorable for the APC to have something on hand to promote the party and mobilize for membership during this electioneering.

In summary, the House of Assembly member Owerri West state constituency who came in from a public function at the women August meeting in his area expressed happiness for such a unique gathering of party leadership in Owerri zone hosted by Owerri West APC Stakeholders. Egbe as fondly called charged the tempo of the meeting by the lucidity of his presentations and tenacity to make the party victorious in the upcoming Election.

During his vote of thanks, SOLAD Owerri West Hon Victor Osuigwe thanked Owerri West leaders for coming together again since the end of primary election and promised the zonal delegation to the visit of a landslide winning during the forthcoming Elections. He however charged party leaders to put in efforts to back up APC Candidates in all Elections ranging from the Presidency to the House of Assembly while stating that he has every capacity needed as a SOLAD to do the needful in the 2023 Elections.
