A man identified as Ikechukwu Arum,was tortured to death by an Anti Cult Squad Officer, on 13th January 2019, in Obeagu, Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to reports gathered,in a post by a facebook user revealed, Mr.Ikechukwu Arum received an unexpected visitor at the early hours of of 13th January, while he was sleeping with his family.
His visitor, identified as Ekeneme and also an officer of Anti Cult Squad, forcefully, arrested him , took him away, while his pregnant wife and daughter helplessly.
Later, the offcicer locked up Mr. Ikechukwu Arum, who hasn’t done anything wrong to be called for, and tortured him to almost at point of death.
However, Mr Ikechukwu’s family had to pay N50,000 for his bail out, and decided to take him to the hospital , because was badly tortured.
But unfortunately, Ikechukwu died while he was on the way to the hospital.
Meanwhile, it was alleged that the Anti Cult Squad, in other to clean up their mess, they decided to burry him secretly and threatened any one who dare to object or report their deeds.
