Arsenal winger Bukola Saka made a triumphant return from a 101-day injury layoff, scoring in his first game back to help the Gunners secure a 2-1 victory over Fulham in the Premier League.

Saka, who had been sidelined with an injury since December, found the net in the 73rd minute, finishing off a well-placed assist from Gabriel Martinelli to put Arsenal 2-0 ahead at the Emirates Stadium.

The home side had taken the lead in the 37th minute through Mikel Merino, who converted an assist from Ethan Nwaneri.

Arsenal controlled possession, enjoying 52% of the ball and registering four shots on target compared to Fulham’s three.

Despite Arsenal’s dominance, Fulham managed to pull one back in stoppage time (90+4) through Rodrigo Muniz, assisted by Ryan Sessegnon, setting up a tense finale.

However, Arsenal held on to claim all three points.

The game saw a physical contest, with Fulham committing 10 fouls to Arsenal’s two, and three yellow cards were handed out, one to Arsenal’s Declan Rice and two to Fulham’s J. Andersen and S. Lukić.
