The family of late Salome Eleojo Adaidu has firmly refuted claims that she was romantically involved with her killer, insisting that she was a victim of one chance or mistaken identity.

Salome, a promising young graduate of the Department of Library and Information Sciences, Kogi State University, Anyigba, Class of 2023, met a tragic end after she was gruesomely murdered in Abuja on Sunday, January 12, 2025.

According to a close family members, Salome was never in a relationship with the prime suspect, identified as OluwaTimileyin Ajayi, a popular Gospel Minister from Kabba, Kogi State who also based in Abuja.

They revealed that Salome had unknowingly entered the wrong tricycle (KekeNapep), while heading to Karu, Abuja to visit a friend.

This mistake they said, led to her abduction by Ajayi and his accomplices, resulting to her brutal murder.

Eyewitness accounts and further Investigations suggest that the suspect, also known by his stage name Timileyin Ajayi, allegedly beheaded Salome in a shocking act of violence.

Despite the attempts to justify his actions by falsely claiming a romantic relationship with the victim, the family has firmly debunked this assertion.

Salome, an Igala lady from Kogi State, was laid to rest on Sunday January 12, 2025, amidst tears and sorrow from friends, family and wider community, who mourned the loss of a promising life cut short.

The family has called for justice, urging authorities to ensure all those involved in the abduction and murder face the full weight of the law.

The tragic incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many demanding improved security measures in public transportation to prevent further and similar occurrences.
