Jos — Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir has strongly denied claims that he received N600 million from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the allegations are false and that non of the money politician have pledged to him has ever reached his bank account.

The prominent Islamic cleric spoke out in response to allegations linking him to the allegedly N600 million payment, insisting that he has been unfairly portrayed as someone who collects huge sums of money from politicians.

Jingir said politicians may have made financial commitments to him, but those promises have not translated into actual payments.

“All the money politicians have pledged to me, not single kobo has entered my account. Yet, I’m being accused of collecting money from politicians”, he said.

He further challenged anyone making the allegation to present evidence that the alleged N600 million was actually transferred to him.

The Sheikh’s denial comes amid renewed discussions over alleged financial dealings between politicians and influential religious figures, with his statement adding a fresh dimension to the controversy surrounding the reported payment.
