In preparation for the Asiwaju-Shettima campaign, The Asiwaju Group (TAG) inaugurated the executives and members of its Zamfara State wing on September 28th 2022. TAG is one of the major grassroots support groups promoting the Presidential bid of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
TAG North West Zonal Coordinator, Hon Aisha Abdullahi who led the team to the inauguration said the group was formed long before the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential primary election. She expressed confidence in the group’s capability and reiterated that the group would play a vital role in ensuring Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins the 2023 Presidential election.
Hon Abdullahi charged the newly sworn-in Zamfara State officials to step up efforts and mobilise support not only for H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu but for all APC candidates vying for different positions in the state.
Hon. Dahiru Muhd Kura and Hon. Anas Hamisu Lawal were sworn in as the State Coordinator and Secretary respectively alongside other Excos numbering 35.
Major stakeholders present at the event included Special Advisers to the State Governor; Director Generals of State Agencies; members of House of Assembly; Chairman, Deputy Chairman, & Secretary, Zamfara State APC; NW Legal Adviser, Barr Ahmed; Sokoto state Coordinator, Alh AbdulRahman Yusuf; Zamfara State GRA women mobiliser, Haj Ladi; APC Northwest spokesman, Alh Musa Mailafiya Mada amongst other dignitaries.
The North West Zonal Coordinator, Hon Abdullahi noted that APC’s victory in the forthcoming general election is already a done deal.
