💢 Asiwaju 2023: Reps Deputy Speaker Meets With TAG 💢
The Deputy Speaker of the 9th Nigerian House of Representatives, Rt Hon Idris Wase received in audience the leadership and a few members of The Asiwaju Group (TAG) on July 27 2022 at the National Assembly, Abuja, Nigeria. Ten Honourable Members of the House joined the Deputy Speaker to welcome the TAG team.
KooThe TAG delegation was led by the National Coordinators, Hon Oyinkansola Okewoye and Alhaji AbdulRasak Danjuma. The TAG visiting team included the National Women Leader (Nigeria), Hon Rahmat Abdullahi, North Central Zonal Coordinator, Hon Ibrahim Hamzat Onimisi, South West Zonal Coordinator, Hon Taiwo Ololade Salvador, North West Zonal Coordinator, Haj Aisha Abdullahi, National Youth Leader, Ms Blessing Peter, Deputy National Youth Leader, Mr Olaoluwa Olorunisomo, Media Content Associate, Mr Usman Abdulhakim, Hon Ayobami Oyalowo, Dr Wole Aboderin, Alhaji Anas Shehu and 20 members of the support group.
Addressing the honourable members, the TAG spokesperson, Hon Oyalowo said they were in the lower chamber to advocate and solicit support for Asiwaju’s presidential ambition. He said, apart from his wealth of experience, Asiwaju is intelligent, capable, fit as a fiddle, and eminently qualified to be the next President of Nigeria.
“Asiwaju is an international personality who understands how the global economy works, can attract foreign investments and through his vast experience, he will make Nigeria a great country in the world. Also, he is gender-sensitive and the first governor in Nigeria that unlocked the internally generated revenue (IGR) puzzle” Oyalowo said.
Responding, Rt Hon Wase said that his team was highly delighted by the courage exhibited by Asiwaju Tinubu and his compassion to reach out to Nigerians within and outside Nigeria. Asiwaju Tinubu remains a formidable Presidential candidate who stands head and shoulders above others.
Wase thanked the TAG team for their outstanding national and Diaspora sensitisation activities and assured the team that the All Progressives Congress remains the party to beat given the milestones achieved in the seven-plus years. According to him, there are still pertinent challenges facing the country but overall, the APC-led administration has done fairly well, therefore, the party has no fear of any political party in Nigeria.
