
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has reacted to her six-month suspension by the Nigerian Senate.
on Thursday, March 6, 2025, The Senate slammed Natasha with a six-month suspension over her face-off with Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio.
In a viral video after her suspension, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan said; “This injustice must not be sustained”.
Her suspension followed recommendations from the Senate Committee.
This comes after her confrontation between Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate President Godswill Akpabio over seating arrangements.
Natasha suspension is to last for six months. During this period, she will still be receiving her salary, but will not be allowed within the premises of the Assembly while suspension lasts.
Recall that the face-off intensified when Natasha accused Akpabio of victimization after allegedly rejecting his sexual advances.
However, on Wednesday , March 5, 2025, the Senate President described the allegation as false and baseless.
