A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Jesutega Onokpasa, has criticized President Bola Tinubu for showing preference to politicians from Lagos in his appointments.
He stated, “Mr. President, many of us supported you based on your track record and what you have accomplished in Lagos. However, while you were able to mobilize Lagosians to develop Lagos, you failed to do the same for Nigerians. You cannot rely solely on a team comprised mainly of individuals from Lagos to address national issues. It simply doesn’t add up.
The individuals from Lagos whom you brought to Abuja to assist in solving Nigeria’s problems are, with all due respect, not effective. Your Chief of Staff, (Femi) Gbajabiamila, is the least effective among them. You must disband this team and establish a more diverse and representative team with a truly national focus.”
