President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the Planning Committee for the National Youth Conference.
The inauguration ceremony, held on March 10, 2025, at the State House in Abuja, brought together key stakeholders dedicated to advancing youth participation in governance and economic growth.
Addressing the 44-member committee, President Tinubu underscored the crucial role of young Nigerians in shaping the country’s future.
“You are the hope of this country; everything hangs on your future,” he stated.
He emphasized that recent economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies, are designed to foster long-term prosperity for Nigerian youths, who constitute over 60% of the population.
While acknowledging past economic challenges, the President expressed optimism about Nigeria’s recovery, citing falling prices and growing investor confidence as signs of improvement.
He encouraged young people to embrace technological advancements and actively contribute to national development.
The National Youth Conference aims to provide a platform for young Nigerians to engage in policy discussions, propose solutions, and play a greater role in governance.
