Troops deployed in Taraba State have successfully rescued a kidnapped victim identified as Alhaji Shuaibu in a swift operation in Lau Local Government Area (LGA).
The victim, identified as Alhaji Shuaibu, 40-year-old, a Fulani resident of Yelwata Community in Ardo-Kola Local Government Area.
According the reports, the man was reportedly abducted around 0905 hours on Thursday December 11, 2025, near Yaja village in Lau Local Government Area, Taraba State.
Acting on credible human intelligence, the deployed troops immediately launched a pursuit of the kidnappers.
The victim was rescued unarmed at about 11:00 hours the same day, demostrating a rapid response time less than two hours.
The security situation in the area is confirmed to remain calm, with security personnel maintaining vigilance and alertness to prevent any further incidents.
