Trump’s Global Disruptions Could Yield Positive Outcomes – Moghalu

Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Moghalu, has suggested that U.S. President Donald Trump’s unconventional approach to international relations could have significant benefits.

In a statement on Monday, Moghalu noted that whether one supports Trump or not, his disruptions to the global order are reshaping international dynamics in ways that may prove advantageous.

“Like him or not, Donald Trump is disrupting the global order in ways that are actually beneficial in many ways,” Moghalu stated.

He highlighted two key areas where Trump’s policies could leave a lasting impact: ending the war in Ukraine and cutting what he termed “wasteful, unproductive, and dependency-inducing” U.S. aid to African nations.

“If he manages to end the Ukraine war and ends the wasteful, unproductive, and dependency-inducing U.S. ‘aid’ to African countries, he would have done a world of good!” Moghalu added.

Moghalu, a former presidential candidate in Nigeria, has been a vocal advocate for economic and political reforms in Africa.

His comments align with broader discussions on Africa’s need for self-sufficiency and reduced reliance on foreign aid.
