The Female law students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Cross River State, have embarked on a public protest to put an end to protracted ongoing sexual abuse and harassment by the university’s law faculty dean.

In an amateur video shared on the 9News Nigeria Global WhatsApp forum, the female students were seen displaying placards and chanting “NO! No! Go! Go! Ndifo Must Go!”

The aggrieved students demanded that Professor Ndifo must be sacked from the school saying that he must go for their sanity.

Some of the placards read:
“WE ARE TIRED OF SUCKING DICKS”
“PROF NDIFON LET THE GIRLS WITH BIG BREASTS BREATHE, STOP SUFFOCATING US”
“ENOUGH OF LAW SCHOOL LIST MANIPULATION”
“PROF NDIFO MUST GO FOR OUR SANITY”
“LAW GIRLS ARE NOT BONANZAS, PRO NDIFO SHOULD STOP GRABBING US”
“THE FACULTY OF LAW IS NOT A BROTHEL”

9News Nigeria gathered that the said Ndifo Cyril who was the UNICAL law faculty dean has been sleeping with most of the female students after threatening to deny them graduation if his demand for sexual ransom was not met.

It was also learnt that Professor Ndifo Cyril has been formerly suspended in 2016 for raping a law student in his office. He was later reinstated by the then Vice-Chancellor and was even made a dean of the faculty of law.

Speaking with 9News Nigeria South-South correspondent via phone call, a male student who demanded to be anonymous stated that Prof Ndifo and many other Deans at the University of Calabar are all into such dirty and notorious acts.

He said that it’s not only the female students that are being molested and harassed, but the males as well. The source disclosed that in random cases, the professors would demand financial ransom in exchange for sexual satisfaction if the student vehemently refuses the immoral act.

While addressing the aggrieved students, the vice chancellor of the University, Prof. Florence Banku Obi said their cries and complaints have been heard and necessary actions will be taken.

She further commended the students over the way and manner they peacefully conduct the protest in line with the school rules and regulations.

She said, “I want to first thank you for the peaceful manner you have conducted yourself. It shows actually that you are law students. You understand the rules and regulations of the university. We have heard your complaint.
