Brazilian Football Icon Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite Kaka has broken his silence on his 2015 divorce after a rumoured claim by his ex-wife.
Kaka, who married his childhood sweet heart Caroline Celico in 2005 while playing for AC Milan, recently addressed the split during a podcast interview reported by Spanish Outlet Sport.
The couple who share a son Luca, aged,15 and daughter, Isabella, aged 12, ended their marriage after a decade together.
Reports surfaced last week suggesting that Celico attributed the breakup to KaKa being “too perfect” for her.
However, Celico has debunked the reports. Reacting, KaKa, 41, refuted the claim during the podcast, stating that he had done everything possible to prevent the separation.
He said: “In 2015 I was married, and my wife at the time decided she didn’t want to be married anymore.
“She said,” I’m not happy and I attribute my unhappiness to marriage”
“I was living in the United States, and she asked to go back to Brazil. Her words were, “I want to back to Brazil, I want to live there and I didn’t want to be married anymore”
Caroline Celico who is an Evangelical Pasto, is married to Eduardo Scarpo Juliao, an entrepreneur and famous influencer in the world of Films and Television actors.
Addionally, reports also suggest that he is the nephew of Brazilian socialite, Chiquinho Scarpa.
Caroline who is 36 years old started dating Juliao in 2016, a year after her divorce with Kaka.
The couple then got married in 2021 in a traditional Church ceremony in Sao Paulo followed by open air cerebration, now, reports suggest that she is pregnant, and expecting their first child together.
While Kaka is now married to Brazilian model Caroline Dias.
Ricardo KaKa is regarded as one of the greatest player to grace the game of soccer in the recent era.
The 2002 World Cup hero, is Known to be very humble, gentle and creative on and off the pitch of soccer.
