He disclosed this at the launch of Emblem Appeal Week in Damaturu on Wednesday, as part of activities marking the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

Of the amount, N30 million, he said is donated by the state government, while N2 million is his personal donation .

Buni expressed gratitude to the veterans who defended the territorial integrity of Nigeria through commitments and sacrifices to ensure the safety of the nation.

“In the course of their tour of duty, some paid the supreme price, others were maimed and remain incapacitated for the future of our dear country in particular and humanity in general.

“Here in Yobe state, we are indebted to the huge contributions made by the Nigeria armed forces, some of whom are now members of the Nigeria Legion, the police, and other security agencies in the fight against insurgency and kidnapping.
