Granada goalkeeper Luca Zudane has officially switched his sporting nationality to represent Algeria.
Zinedine Zidane, was part of the French team that won the U17 EURO in 2017, but has now committed his international future to the Fennecs.
With this decision, Zidane will be eligible to feature for Algeria in the upcoming AFCON this winter, boosting the squad’s goalkeeping options.

Zidane could represent Algeria at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the Desert Foxes currently needing one victory to secure qualification to the global showpiece.
Zidane qualify to play for the North African side due to his grandparents who were from the Kabylie region of the country.
The goalkeeper will be hoping to receive his first call up to the Algeria squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Somalia and Uganda next month.
He had featured in the four opening matches for Granada in the Segunda Division this season, conceding 10 goals before being dropped for the last league defeat against Real Jean on Thursday.
