Imo State House of Assembly has adjourned sitting to the 29th day of June 2023, following the inauguration of Honourable Members.
The inauguration took place at the Assembly complex Owerri having recorded huge crowds of Imolites in attendance.
Meanwhile, the House held their first hearing at the instance of speaker Honourable Chike Olemgbe.
However, Honourable Chike Olemgbe emerged the Speaker while Honourable Amara Iwuanyanwu emerged the Deputy Speaker.
Other Principal officers of the 10th House are yet to be elected and pronounced while awaiting their next sitting on the 29th of June as adjourned.
The highlight of the event was the surprise adjournment by the speaker without the election of some principal officers of the 10th Assembly.
9News Nigeria reports that the majority Leader, minority Leader, Chief Whip, Deputy majority and Deputy minority are yet to be elected and pronounced hopefully in their next sitting as adjourned to 29th June.
