Monday 9th January, Adamawa State witnessed unprecedented crowd as the leader of the ruling party President Muhammadu Buhari led the campaign train to Adamawa for the Presidential Candidate of APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Female Governorship Candidate Senator Aisha Binani.
It is on record and in history of Nigeria that a woman emerged as a Governorship Candidate in APC during the dynamic leadership of Dr. Betta Edu the ebullient National Women Leader of the ruling party APC through the good effort of the Party Chairman Sen Abdulahi Adamu who believes in gender mainstreaming and the NWC.
In this light, President Muhammadu Buhari throws his weigh behind his party APC by going to Adamawa to Campaign in person. In his speech as quoted

Addressing the Adamawa people at the rally, Dr. Betta Edu the National Women Leader of the ruling party APC took the center stage in great excitement because history will be made as this will signal core women involvement & mainstreaming in governance which is her watch word.

Conversly, the National Women Leader Dr Betta Edu expressed delight over the fulfillment of Senator Aisha Binani’s ticket as the Adamawa State Governorship Candidate while calling on the good people of Adamawa State to maintain focus and vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Aisha Binani as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Governor of Adamawa State respectively.
She noted that Women are tested and trusted to be loyal and honest in Leadership positions and therefore encourages more women to get involved in governance.
In attendance at the epoch making rally were President Muhammadu Buhari, All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice presidential candidate Sen Kashim Shetima, Mrs Nana Shetima, APC National Chairman Sen.
