~~~Dr. Betta Edu
Mammoth crowd gathered in Ogun State to receive the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, who promised to make Ogun State an industrial and agricultural hub
Dr. Betta Edu the ebullient National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress joined the Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Vice Presidential candidate Sen Shetima, the Governor of Ogun state Gov Dapo Abiodun and other key stakeholders to solicit voters support and as well beckon on the good women of Ogun State to vote for Asiwaju Tinubu in their millions.
The winning presidential candidate Asiwaju Tinubu had in his speech said that fuel scarcity and the redesign of three naira notes won’t dissuade his supporters from voting for him during next month’s general election in the country.
“Let fuel be expensive. Only they know where they keep it to cause artificial scarcity . Keep petrol, keep the naira, we will vote and be elected. You may change the ink of naira notes. What you expect will not happen. We will win,” the former Lagos State governor said in the Yoruba language.
The Lagos State former governor assured Nigerians that if elected as Buhari’s successor, he would end fuel scarcity in the country.
While describing next month’s presidential poll as a revolution, he said: “They claimed that petrol will rise to N200/litre and N500/litre, let your mind be at rest. All that will be fixed. They don’t want these forthcoming elections to hold. They want to scatter it, but that won’t be possible. “They thought they could cause trouble; they sabotaged fuel like they did in 2019, but with or without fuel, with or without motorcycles and tricycles, Nigerians will vote and we will win.
This is a superior revolution,” Tinubu added.
He urged the people of the state to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), saying he would emerge through PVCs.
“We will win through our PVCs. Even if they say there is no fuel, we will trek to the polling units.”
The APC presidential candidate also promised to make student loans available if elected, adding that “nobody will drop from university because of school fees”.
The Governor of the State who spoke alongside the speaker of the House Of Representative Rt. Hon Gbajamiamila and other Governors from the region Like Governor Sanwolu of Lagos state, Gov Oyebanji of Ekiti and other former Governors chorused that Asiwaju is the right man for the Job and Ogun must vote him to benefit maximally. They called on the people of Ogun to vote APC and Governor Dapo Abiodun to finish the great work he has started in ogun.
Dr Betta Edu the National Women Leader of APC told Nigerians and indeed citizens of ogun that if Asiwaju is voted into power Ogun State women will be sincerely empowered to do their Adire businesses and have small and medium scale enterprises. She noted that President Buhari had done a lot of grassroots empowerment through the unconditional cash transfer, and this will be amplified under Asiwaju Tinubu. She reiterated that PVCs collection will be the only deciding factor to drive home the Vote and deliver the win. Therefore, she called every woman in Ogun state to get their PVCs ready for the election. It’s your turn, the time is now!
