The Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that he will spearhead President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027, directly challenging critics questioning his commitment to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) when claims to be a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
While speaking during a media chat with journalists on Monday June 2, 2025, Wike said;
“I have told you this before, is it because I am in Asiwaju’s Presidency? Are you not aware I will lead his campaigns in Rivers State? You want me to say no?:”, he said.
The Minister further predicted a dramatic reversal of Tinubu’s 2023 election performance in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), where the President secured less than 10 percent of votes.
“You are not aware that he did not get up to 10 percent here in, FCT? But he will win here. Are you not aware? Stop asking me questions you know. Of Course, you know. Is that hidden”.
