The Onugotu Obowo Foundation (OOF) has continued to expand its community interventions in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State.
Over the weekend, the foundation trained 300 farmers on modern agricultural practices, while also distributing improved yam seedlings and cassava stems to enhance productivity and boost food security in the area.
Speaking during the programme, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Rt. Hon. Ike Ibe, emphasized that the foundation’s impact goes beyond agriculture.
He disclosed that OOF has also been actively involved in youth empowerment through skill acquisition programmes, with plans underway to expand such initiatives in the near future.
In addition, he noted that the foundation has supported education by sponsoring students through the payment of school fees and provision of lessons, aimed at improving access to quality learning for indigent beneficiaries.
The foundation also reaffirmed its commitment to improving the living standards of the people of Obowo through sustainable and people-oriented programmes.
Since its establishment in 2017, OOF has maintained a strong focus on humanitarian service and grassroots development, with interventions spanning agriculture, education, and youth empowerment.
