Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu has joined the United States Army.
Momodu reportedly enlisted in the U.S. Army on April 12, 2026, and has since completed his military training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
The actor is said to have attained the rank of Specialist (SPC) J.A. Momodu and is attached to the 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment.
Momodu reportedly said his decision to join the military was partly inspired by his late father, who served with the Nigeria Police Force.
His transition from the Nigerian film industry to military service has drawn attention from citizens as many congratulated him.
