The Camp Commandant of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Anwalu Muhammed, has been placed on an indefinite suspension over an alleged misconduct in the abandoned semi final match of the Olubadan Cup between Shooting Stars and VIA ACADEMY.
This was the decision reached by the club’s management at the end of a meeting, held to look into the allegation of unsportmanly behavior levelled against the 3SC official during the encounter, played at the Olubadan Stadium last Wednesday.
“Sequel to the alleged assault on match officials by our camp commandant, Anwalu Muhammed, during the Shooting Stars versus VIA ACADEMY semi final match of Olubadan Cup, the management, has decided to place him (Anwalu) on an indefinite suspension, pending full investigation into the matter.”
“As a professional club, Shooting Stars will never condone any act of indiscipline from our officials, hence, our decision to take this preliminary action, while we make full investigation into the issue to ascertain the facts, “a statement issued by Tosin Omojola, 3SC Media Officer read.
