The non governmental organization, Atiku Care Foundation donates to the Internally Displaced Persons in Abuja.
The Dwellers at the Durumi Internal Displaced Persons’ Camp in Abuja shared in the joy of the family of the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar when the Atiku Care Foundation donated items to persons living in the camp to commemorate the wedding of one of the sons of the former Vice President.
Aliyu Atiku Abubakar, who is son of the former Vice President married his hearthrob, Fatima Nuhu Ribadu in Abuja recently.
The humanitarian group, led by Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas who is the Director-General of the Foundation, donated items ranging from food and domestic items to the IDPs.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador. Abbas stated that the Wazirin Adamawa and the couple are delighted to share the joy of the day with them on this special day; urging tthem not to lose hope as everything possible is being done by authorities and well-spirited Nigerians to get them back to their native homes and on track.
“The ACF would not hesitate to extend support to persons in the Camp and also to those in need, especially the less privilege in rural communities.
“We are prepared to support and empower the needy not only in IDP Camps but wherever the downtroddens are located in Nigeria, he added”.
The Camp Chairman, Ibrahim Amadu in his welcome speech, commended the visitation even as he described it as a kind gesture and prayed for God’s protection upon the Wazirin Adamawa, the new couple and members of the team.
