Major General Ebenezer Oyefolu on Saturday assumed office as the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Lagos.
He took over from Major General Isidore Edet who has been in charge of the historic military unit since August 2015.
The 81 Division was upgraded in year 2000 from its former status as Lagos Garrison Command, a creation of the colonial administration.
According to a statement issued by the spokesman 81 Division, Mr. Oyefolu was the Deputy Chief of Defence Intelligence prior to his recent appointment.
