The National chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, on wednesday, assured Christians that they had nothing to fear with the joint ticket of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima for the 2023 Presidential election.
He said, the party’s Muslim and Muslim presidential ticket was “The work and will of God”.
Senator Adamu made this declaration in Daura, when he led the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) on a Sallah visit to President Muhammadu Buhari. According to Adamu, the party went through a rigorous practical assignment on the selection process before arriving at the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
He described Kashim Shettima as a Nigerian citizen who doesn’t need to be either a Muslim or Christian before being selected as running mate to a presidential candidate.
While appreciating Christians in the Country for showing interest in the Muslim-Muslim ticket, Adamu asked citizens to face the reality of the Country’s policies.
Senator Adamu who was the former Governor of Nasarawa state said, the party is working hard and praying to win the forth coming 2023 election.
