Imo people are adviced to beware of mischief makers mostly as the State Governorship election draws near as slated by the election umpire INEC to hold November 11, 2023.
Dr Paul Ezeafurukwe , Director General of Hope New Media Centre made this call Tuesday in Owerri Imo state Nigeria while briefing the press.
DG Ezeafurukwe hinted that as Imo State heads to the polls in November 2023 for the Governorship election, mischief makers from the opposition will continue to dish out propaganda against the Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma.
This is simply because, they lack ideology, direction, purpose and are threatened by the unprecedented achievements of the Governor, having transformed the State beyond their expectations, DG Ezeafurukwe stated.
In his words, “We are not oblivious to the fact that the opposition will continue to blow out of proportion, the security situation in the State just to attract favour to themselves”
“This is why they could descend to the pedestrian level of doctoring videos of the Governor targetted at distracting the public.
His advice is inline with His Excellency’s interview on Channels Television which was aired live with a global audience to let the people know the efforts of Uzodinma’s administration to better the state.
It is evidential to note that Imolites are testifying to the fact that the Governor has insisted on Politics without bitterness and rancour having Imo as his focal agenda.
However, while mischief makers will continue to leverage social media to propagate evil, the Governor will not condescend to the level these elements, who seek to take power by force, have resorted to. He however call on Ndi Imo to be sensitive to vote wisely during the November Guber Election.
