Governor Hope Uzodinma has again re-assured Imo people of long-term economic benefits resulting from subsidy removal while implementing measures to mitigate its effects. 9News Nigeria reports.

Our correspodent reports that government has implemented the subsidy removal policy for economic growth according to Governor Hope Uzodinma.

Speaking at the Sunday Service held at the Imo Government House Chapel, Governor Uzodinma emphasized the various advantages this policy would bring to the state and the nation.

While acknowledging the necessity of the subsidy removal for its long-term benefits, the Governor also assured the people of Imo that the government is implementing a series of policy measures to alleviate the immediate impact on the citizens.

One of the key measures to be implemented this month is the 40,000 Naira minimum wage, aimed at uplifting the livelihoods of the people and ensuring fair compensation for their labour.

Additionally, the government will make concerted efforts to make essential food commodities available at subsidized rates through the Imo marketing board, providing economic relief to the residents.

To ensure the successful implementation of these measures, Governor Uzodinma announced the constitution of a Taskforce, which will be inaugurated tomorrow.

The Taskforce will be responsible for overseeing the proper distribution of benefits and ensuring that every corner of the State benefits from the policy.

In conclusion, Governor Uzodinma reassured the people of his administration’s dedication to good governance, accountability, and overall development.

Meanwhile, Uzodinma has earlier urged the citizens to place their trust in the government’s vision and assured them that their interests remain the top priority.
