The recently unveiled Non governmental organization (NGO), Great Foresight Initiative For Peace, Leadership and Development has concluded plans to embark on sensitization campaign for peace in Imo State and South Eastern Nigeria.
In a press release signed by the President of the organization Evangelist Samuel Ezeji it stated that the sensitization campaign is a follow up to the recently concluded event in Owerri.
He posited that this outing is one of the line up of activities to be carried out by the organization as it relates to Peace, Good Leadership and attraction of development which are the core aims and objectives of the NGO.
The theme of this very outing the release stated is “Operation P.U.S.H for peace in Imo State and South Eastern Nigeria” This theme, he stated is to address the forthcoming November 11th Guber election in Imo State.
Through this outing the organization is calling on all citizens especially the politicians to maintain peace during their electioneering campaigns. It also called on the Politicians to think Participatory Governance during and after the elections.
This position, they believe will attract peaceful co-existence and make it possible for citizens to enjoy the dividends of democracy in a good atmosphere.
The date and venue for the flag off of the sensitization campaign will be announced to the public the release stated.
During this outing flyers will be distributed, Radio and television stations will be used, there will be visits to key stakeholders like the Ezes, PGs government functionaries and notable citizens of the society.
Recall that few weeks ago, this notable organization gave a prestigious award to our Imo State bureau Chief and state House correspondent at Rockview Hotel Owerri alongside other notable NIGERIANs.
